Partners in Regeneration Connect

Members can use this section and the links above to search the membership database, browse and real discussions, post replies and create items in the pin board area. However, to use this part of the site you must be logged in and registered as a member.

However, there are a number of rules:

The pin board and chat room rules are intended to help create an atmosphere in which freedom of speech is balanced by self-discipline and a mature attitude to discussion.

By virtue of your participation in these sections of the site, you agree to abide by the rules set out below in addition to the general terms and conditions governing your use of the Partners in Regeneration site.

If you breach any of these rules, the Scottish Centre for Regeneration reserves the right to bar you from use of the site, including its pin board and chat room in the future. The SCR has the right to remove any posting that they deem to be inappropriate or otherwise unsuitable.

Personal Identification

All messages that you send to the pin board or chat room must include your name and e-mail address. You must not represent yourself as another person. Anonymous contributions, or those posted under pseudonyms, will not be accepted.

Use of Language

Messages must not be malicious or designed to offend. In particular, the use of swearwords is prohibited. You must not make statements that contravene the laws of any part of the UK, breach a duty of confidence, are defamatory, obscene, threatening, sexually or racially offensive, abusive, harmful or otherwise objectionable.

Conduct of Discussion

Your message must be within the scope of the subject under discussion. You must not post material that is irrelevant to the subject matter of the pin board or chat room. If you make a contribution that is inappropriate to the subject under discussion, you may be asked not to raise the matter further or to raise it within a separate forum.

You must not make reference to, or attack, the personality or character of other participants. One to one arguments, disagreements and disputes of a personal nature must not be conducted via the site.

Licensing and warranties
By submitting material to the Partners in Regeneration site you:

• warrant that you have all necessary legal rights, including, without limitation, intellectual property rights, to the material you transmit;

• acknowledge that you take full responsibility for any material you transmit;

• warrant that you will not transmit any material to the Partners in Regeneration site that contravenes the laws of any part of the United Kingdom, breaches a duty of confidence, or is defamatory, obscene, threatening, sexually or racially offensive, abusive, harmful or otherwise objectionable;

• agree to waive any moral rights in any material you transmit; and

• grant to the SCR, a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, distribute, publish, adapt, modify, translate, display, reproduce and transmit such information (including, without limitation, your name, username and/or e-mail address) in any and all media in any manner in whole or in part without any duty to account to you. You also grant the SCR the right to grant sub-licences on any terms the SCR sees fit.

Advertising and research

You may mention relevant, non-commercial websites as long as they support your comment. You must not create links to commercial websites.

Complaints about a breach of these rules

Complaints about a breach of these rules should ONLY be made by private email to the SCR.
